Welcome to Kindergarten!
Welcome to our class page, check in often to find out what is happening in room 110! I will update the newsletter tab with a weekly update.
Upcoming Events:
May 10th: No school for kindergarten (incoming kindergarten class will be visiting)
May 11th: Gallimaufry Day, dress down day, no hot lunch service
Field trip money and permission slips are due
May 18th: Zoo field trip
May 24th-28th: No school/Memorial Day
June 1st: Kindergarten celebration/last day of school
If you are interested in good resources for reading at writing with your child, there are a lot of websites out there. One that I have found to be very informative is www.readingrockets.org. They have a section just for parents with a lot of information and activity ideas.
Throughout the year the room parents will be collecting photos, projects, and class work to make each student a memory book. These books take a lot of time, effort, and of course, money. We are asking that each student bring in a pack of clear sheet protectors. The packs usually come in sets of 25. These can be purchased at most office supplies stores. If each student brings in one pack of 25 it would be a huge help. The room parents would like to start working on the memory books as soon as possible so please send them in when you get a chance. Thanks for all of your help!
